| Founded in 2007, Meridian Permaculture is the business of Hamish MacCallum, permaculture designer, consultant, sustainable landscape designer, and teacher . In our ever changing environment we need to adapt our understanding of landscape to positively respond to the ever-increasing demands we place on the earth, not only the earth directly beneath our feet, but beyond our immediate sphere of influence. Seeing ourselves as an integral part of our landscape enables us to continue to build natural capital rather than continue the profligate depletion of resources so common in modern use of landscape. Permaculture is about is about designing our environment by replicating the patterns in the natural world, following the natural rhythms of energy through its phases of abundance and scarcity, responding to change with positive outcomes. |
